Oddly seeming to parody the title of the movie Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes back, in this episode Mario finds the whole of windmill village covered in goop. This episode requires Mario to collect the 8 coins dotted around Windmill Village to gain the shine sprite. Within there is a secret area which he must complete to receive the shine sprite. In this episode Mario must make his way across the lake to a cave hidden in the sides of the hills. Mario must them defeat him to complete the level. ![]() In this episode Mario must reach the roof of the windmill, where he finds Petey Piranha, an enormous humanoid piranha plant who smashes through the roof of the windmill and leaves him and Mario tumbling inside. At the point in the level just before the bridge towards the windmill, there is a polluted piranha plant which he must defeat to gain the shine sprite. In this episode Mario must make his way from the start of the area, and through to the area of tall platforms, which has been covered in goop. Episodes Episode 1: Road to the Big Windmill Several ropes are strung up between various buildings and platforms across Bianco Hills Mario can use these ropes to cross wide gaps, or bounce off of them to jump much higher than normal. Two small alcoves in the hillsides around the lake's perimeter lead to secret levels. The steep hillside above the village also contains a few platforms.Ĭontinuing along the footpath past the wall eventually leads across a bridge hanging over the lake and towards a large windmill perched on a rocky island in the lake's far corner. A tall white wall runs along one side of the village and features a waterwheel several trees and a large lake are located on the wall's opposite side. Two of the buildings here sport windmill blades on their roofs, which can be manipulated with F.L.U.D.D.'s Spray Nozzle. A stone footpath leads down the hill towards a narrow stream bordering Bianco Hills' quaint " Windmill Village". ![]() Mario typically enters this stage at a scenic overlook of Isle Delfino's southern coast, where a few of the game's other stages can be spotted from a distance. "Bianco" is the Italian word for "white," ostensibly referring to the white stone that makes up the various structures, footpaths and rocky hillsides of the stage. This stage becomes available after defeating Shadow Mario during his first encounter with Mario, and it is accessed via a "Rainbow M" portal on the base of the Grand Pianta Statue in Delfino Plaza. ![]() Located at the base of Corona Mountain near the center of Isle Delfino, this area consists of a small village built near a long lake. Bianco Hills is the first main stage of Super Mario Sunshine.
